The things people ask before they book a call. No hedging, and no "it depends" without telling you what it depends on.
RULE 6 engagements start at $18,000. The final number is set during the Audit, once we know what the problem is actually worth solving. We price on the value of the outcome, not on hours, and we do not discount. If the budget is the obstacle, we change the scope or the payment terms, never the price of the work.
A freelance animator will quote you $5,000 to $15,000 for a video. That is a different purchase. They sell you labor. We build you an asset library your sales team uses for years.
We do not quote a total until the Audit is finished, because the size of the asset library depends on where your story is breaking, and we do not know that on day one. Anyone who gives you a delivery date before diagnosing the problem is guessing.
What we can tell you is how each phase runs.
The Audit: one to two weeks. Fixed. This does not compress. A rushed diagnosis wastes every week of design that follows it.
The Playbook: two to three weeks. Strategy, storyboards, and framing for the full library.
The Assets: scoped in the Playbook. A focused set of assets moves quickly. A full library replacing a 60-minute demo takes longer. You will have a real schedule, with dates, before any production starts.
Two things stretch a timeline more than anything we do: slow review cycles on your side, and scope that grows after kickoff. We will flag both early.
If you need something finished in ten days, we are the wrong studio and we will say so on the first call.
Every RULE 6 engagement runs in three phases: the Audit, the Playbook, and the Assets.
The Audit. We diagnose where complexity is costing you deals. You get a strategic report naming the specific moments buyers get lost and what to do about each one. This is real diagnostic work, paid, delivered over several days. It is never free and never performed live on a call.
The Playbook. We build the motion strategy, the storyboards, and the framing for the whole asset library. One source of truth your team can work from, not just the founder who already gets it.
The Assets. We produce the motion, scoped to where the story actually breaks. You end up with a library that keeps working without us in the room.
A library of motion assets your sales team uses in calls, emails, and decks. Not one video.
The exact contents depend on where your story is breaking, which is what the Audit determines. A typical library includes the hero explainer that replaces the top of your demo, shorter cuts for sales follow-up, and feature-level assets your team can drop into a specific conversation.
You also keep the Audit report and the Playbook. If you never work with us again, you can hand both to another studio and they will know what to build.
Rarely, and we will usually talk you out of it. One video does not fix a demo problem. It moves the confusion three minutes later into the call.
If a single asset is genuinely all you need, you probably do not need RULE 6. That is not a sales tactic. It is the honest answer, and it saves us both a discovery call.
Well-funded B2B SaaS companies, Series A or B, with a product complex enough that buyers do not get it on the first pass.
Most of our clients are crossing a border when they call us. European companies whose pitch stalls with American buyers. US companies expanding into Europe. The product travels. The explanation usually does not.
What every client has in common is complex software that has to make sense to someone who has never seen it before.
Because you do not have an animation problem. You have an explanation problem.
A freelancer will make what you describe. We start by finding out whether what you are describing is the thing that is actually losing you deals. That diagnosis is the work. The animation is what comes out the other side of it.
Most in-house teams are fast at execution and stretched thin on strategy. They can produce. What they usually lack is the outside read on where a buyer who has never seen the product gets lost.
We are often brought in alongside an internal team, not instead of one. The Playbook is built so your people can keep producing against it after we are gone.
Nashville and Valencia. RULE 6 was founded in 2020 by Chris Blaylock, an American running the studio from Spain.
That is not a logistics detail. It is why we work on the transatlantic corridor specifically. We know how an American buyer reads a European pitch, and how a European buyer hears an American one, because we sit on both ends of the call.
Book a call. If there is a real fit, the next step is the Audit.
We will not send you a deck full of credentials, and we will not diagnose your product for free on a 20-minute call. The first conversation is us working out whether the problem you have is the problem we solve.
